Sanjay Gupta, the Atlanta neurosurgeon who is CNN’s resident talking head on all things medical, spoke to a full house at Symphony Hall this week as part of Lesley University’s Boston Speakers Series. Gupta talked about the World Heath Organization’s recent cancer warningrelated to processed meat and about his own evolving view on medical marijuana. (He was against it before he was for it.) The celebrity physician also told an amusing story about his middle daughter — he has three girls ages 10, 8, and 6 — who was in the back seat checking out his stethoscope. “I thought, This is a really important moment. I’m going to talk about this when she graduates from medical school,” Gupta said. “Finally, she picks it up and says, ‘Welcome to McDonald’s. Can I take your order?’?”
