“All signs indicate that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is on the verge of wrapping up his investigation and will conclude that the Trump campaign did not collude with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election.
President Trump’s former attorney John Dowd, a highly respected Washington lawyer, put an exclamation point on those feelings when he told ABC News this week: “If I was supervising Mueller, (I would) tell him to knock it off, get it done.”
After a 21-month investigation that has caused the Trump-hating media and political left to foam at the mouth in unison, tens of millions of hardworking American taxpayers are ready to move on and finally turn the page on the 2016 election. It’s time for everyone to digest the special counsel’s results and start to heal as a country.
If Mueller decides to send a final report to incoming Attorney General William Barr, that report should be released in full so the American people and Congress can see exactly what his long and expensive investigation found, did not find, and how it was conducted. After almost two years of secrecy, it’s time for some transparency.”
