The United States is “already infiltrated” by foreign terrorists who have come across its borders, former acting Customs and Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan told Newsmax Sunday.
“That’s exactly why 10 former FBI executives penned a letter to shed light on the real risk to our national security because of the chaos and lawlessness [at] the border,” Morgan said on Newsmax’s “Sunday Agenda.”
Last month, 10 retired FBI directors and counterintelligence experts warned in a letter to Congress that the Biden administration’s border policies have allowed a “soft invasion” of the United States.
“The issue is not when or if the threat comes to our country,” Morgan said. “The issue is it’s already here.”
Former Homeland Security advisor Charles Marino, also on the program, commented that the danger has been enhanced with the Biden administration’s strikes on Iranian proxies this weekend.
“You’ve got to consider what can happen now within the country because of the policies that have been in place at the border for the last three years,” he said. “We know the country’s infiltrated. Just last week, we had a confirmed Al Shabaab terrorist who was let into the country under this administration and has been here for a year.”
The big question now, Marino said, is how many more terrorists have come across the U.S. border.
“I don’t think Americans are going to like the answer they get from officials because the true, honest answer is [that] we don’t know,” he said.
Meanwhile, Biden won’t do anything about the situation because he is beholden to the radical left, said Marino.
“He’s willing to wager the safety and security of the American people in terms of wanting power,” he said. “This is purely putting politics over national security, and he wants the Democratic Party to remain in power.”
Morgan agreed, adding that immigrants in the country illegally are counted as part of the census, which could lead to a “real redistricting of seats” in favor of Democrats.
“They believe every single illegal alien they find a pathway to citizenship is going to equate to a Democratic vote,” Morgan said. “They’re jeopardizing the safety and national security of our country for votes and power.”
