1. What was the inspiration for the show?
I think as a person who has traveled all over the world and as a doctor, what I have realized over the years is that there are important and interesting things happening in health around the globe. I think, a lot of times we as Americans tend to get precautious and isolated in terms of how we think about healthcare because in some parts of the world, healthcare is not just the avoidance of disease.”
