“Last month, multi-Emmy Award winning documentarian Ken Burns was named the Grand Marshal for this year’s Tournament of Roses, which includes the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl as the two main activities over which he will preside.
Burns’ selection was the result of a unique partnership between the Tournament of Roses and the National Park service, which have similar themes in 2016. The theme of the 127th Rose Parade presented by Honda is “Find Your Adventure,” while the theme for the 100th anniversary of the National Parks Service is “Find Your Park.”
