At a time of unparalleled political polarization, many Americans are skeptical of their elected leaders coming together to fix a broken labor market. Former Governor Hogan and Linsey Davis of ABC News discuss how policymakers and industry leaders can work together to redesign employment systems to better meet the challenges of the 21st century economy. In two terms, however, Maryland’s former Governor, Larry Hogan, narrowed this divide by implementing bipartisan policies to create a more inclusive job market. Most notably, Maryland became the first state to remove college degree requirements for state jobs under Governor Hogan’s leadership.
