Paretta is changing the face of open-wheel racing in America with her female-forward Paretta Autosport, which competes in the NTT IndyCar Series. Her team entered the 2021 Indy 500 with Swiss-Italian driver Simona de Silvestro and a crew largely made up of women in the pits and on the engineering side. Seven-time Indy 500 racer Lyn St. James and Paretta announced this spring the creation of Women in Motorsports North America, a nonprofit group designed to ensure a successful and effective future for women in professional motorsports roles. Paretta has a long history in the automotive world, working at Aston Martin, Fiat Chrysler and Volkswagen in roles across finance, marketing and operations.
