Biography
Tyler Gillum is a coach, educator, and entrepreneur who has dedicated his life to inspiring others to pursue their dreams. Guided by his mantra—“Bet on yourself”—Tyler has inspired more than one million people across sports and business. From growing up on the rodeo circuit to becoming Head Coach of the Savannah Bananas, Tyler’s story is one of resilience, vision, and servant leadership.
Tyler’s collegiate baseball coaching career spanned from 2010 to 2022, during which he recruited, developed, and led championship teams. More than a skills-based coach, Tyler focused on building environments where athletes could grow as people and pursue their fullest potential. A defining moment came in 2018 when he became Head Coach of the Savannah Bananas, working alongside owner Jesse Cole to help create Banana Ball—an innovative, fan-first version of baseball designed to entertain and engage audiences like never before.
By prioritizing fans, fostering joy, and developing players, Tyler helped lead teams to championships, Hall of Fame inductions, and appearances in some of America’s largest stadiums. Beyond the field, Tyler is a sought-after speaker who inspires individuals and organizations to reach their full potential.
