How can a brilliant data scientist keep themselves ahead of the crowd? In this episode, Deepali Vyas explains that video, not text, is the future of recruitment. As Global Head of AI Data Science and Financial Technology at the recruitment firm Korn Ferry, Deepali has a wealth of experience finding the brightest candidates for the finance world’s biggest roles. She notes that candidate applications have increased tenfold per position since the advent of GenAI platforms and that video is our best hope of showing a side of our professional profile that is authentic and that cannot be easily replicated.
Deepali also recognizes that the essential benefit of video over text is that it allows candidates to present their emotional intelligence and ability to communicate verbally, on top of what they can deliver on the page and the credentials they may have picked up throughout their career.
