“While on a four-day swing through Iowa, Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said America is in “a very strong position” when it comes to dealing with China.
“Right now China is in a weakened state,” she said. “We have seen their stock market crash. We’ve seen all these things they’re trying to do to prop up their economy because they know if their economy stops growing, their regime is in trouble.”
Speaking Thursday at town hall meetings in Le Mars and Sioux Center, Fiorina said that, with the Chinese economy faltering, now is the time to put pressure on their government to reform how they interact with American markets.”
