With more than 25 years experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry as well as in clinical medicine, Dr. James Mault is widely considered a visionary vanguard in the medical field.  He founded five medical device and health monitoring services companies, raising more than $100 million in working capital including a successful Nasdaq public offering in 2002. Dr. Mault effectively led these companies in developing novel technologies, securing FDA approvals, and establishing strategic partnerships with dozens of Fortune 500 companies.

Currently, Dr. Mault is the CEO and Chairman of HealthyCircles (MyTeleHealth Solutions, LLC), a first of its kind online platform designed to deliver an integrated suite of products and services that connect patients, families, and healthcare professionals.  Previously, he was the Director of New Products and Business Development for the Health Solutions Group at Microsoft Corp.  A frequent speaker at global health and connectivity conferences, Dr. Mault offers exceptional knowledge, astute insight and unparalleled perspective on the critical role of technology in the future of healthcare.

Distinguished Scholar and Author

Dr. James Mault is board-certified in both general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery, having specialty practices in heart and lung transplantation, thoracic oncology, and critical care. He has conducted academic medical research under numerous grant awards from such leading institutions as the National Institutes of Health, the American Cancer Society Inc., and other organizations. He is the author of more than 100 published scientific articles, chapters and books, and is the named inventor of dozens of issued and pending patents for a variety of medical devices and health monitoring systems and informatics.

Successful Business Leader, Accomplished Physician

In addition to his HealthyCircles’ CEO responsibilities, Dr. Mault maintains a clinical faculty position at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center.  He is an active member of several medical and surgical societies including the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American College of Chest Physicians and American Heart Association Inc., and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

The latest healthcare reform bills bring upon a number of historic changes that will impact the health system.  Dr. Mault will elaborate and analyze several of the new emerging policies including hospital readmission and incentive based quality standards.

Connected Health

Connected Health is the concept of connecting disparate health data, leveraging both interoperable systems and consumer engagement.  Dr. Mault will speak to the role technology and consumers play in connecting disparate systems and the concepts of building out a connected health strategy.

Care Coordination and Management Leveraging Telemedicine Technologies

According to a Harris poll, some 20 percent of doctors report having their patients repeat tests because of an inability to locate the results during a scheduled visit.  This fragmented approach to care creates waste, inefficiencies and increases the likelihood of medical errors.  In this presentation, Dr. Mault speaks about leveraging new technologies to connect care and reduce healthcare waste and inefficiencies.   Through the implementation of connected care coordination programs, organizations can optimize their patient care process providing better care, to more patients, at a fraction of the price.
